I may not know how to cook very many things, but I sure do know how to make a damn good Bento Box!
P.S. Not my bento box above! Just a sweet picture I found <3

Flawless.

It’s almost that time of year again for ASU’s Winter Gala! My freshman year I went out and bought my first cocktail dress (from Forever21…) for my first fancy college formal. Little did I know, that I would be lost in a sea of bland cocktail dresses the rest of the night. I then made it my mission, should I choose to accept it, to always make my own outfit for a special event. Especially since everyone will always end up asking me if I made my own outfit or not, I can at least have the pleasure by gracefullly saying, “Indeed, I did.” I have made my formal dresses for the past 2 years. The first one I ran out of time yet I still somehow managed to hold everything together with a skinny pink leather belt from Express. Hence, the “Wrap Me in Your Love” wrap dress by Dear Mar was born. Last year when I made my dress, I was inspired to show off my new tan and wanted a low back halter gown with this gorgoeus houndstooth print. However, my lace collar didn’t hold up like I wanted it to, but the lace trim on the thigh high slit definately worked to my advantage. This year I want to create something classic with a twist. I’m thinking cool colors this time around, although I am very over cobalt, but perhaps a turquoise or sky blue. Definitely something fitted, possibly a sweeheart neckline, and dripping with pearls. It’s going to be lovely & Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired. I’ll definitely keep you posted!

Absolutely stunning and awe-inspiring. Thanks Nanshii Pants!

“If you want to start your own line I would do one of two things…I would commit myself to working for another designer company for at least four years to really learn from their mistakes…or I would concentrate on one poduct category, like t-shirts or shoes, and focus all my energy developing the best possible product. Too many designers get caught up in doing a whole collection and doing shows. Shows are for ego, product is for survival.”

I am really starting to appreciate pattern play. Where have you been all my life? Going to start posting pictures up of my daily outfits =] I cannot wait for SPRING! Well, with this crazy 50 degree weather, it might be here sooner than I think. I’m so ready for bright colors (lipstick red, canary yellow, and my fave: Orange) I’m also starting to get past my “hipster phase” and leaning towards more of a cleaner, classier silhouette. My go to item for the past several weeks has been my ever growing collection of blazers. I just bought 3 from H&M for under $100. Score!
I’ve also been sick since Saturday, so looking somewhat decent has been sort of a struggle. In return, it has given me a whole day off today to recover and think about my future. I’m considering going back to school instead of working multiple dead end jobs. I have finally decided to launch my own business. I have the sewing & customer service skills down however business is a whole other world to me. That’s where school comes in handy. Maybe New York isn’t out of reach just yet…

2011 Christmas Wish List

1. An electric blanket because MN doesn’t seem to be getting any warmer…

2. Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck Purfume! Need I say more?!

3. Relic 2-Tone Rose Gold & Resin Tortoise Shell Watch which is very similar to the one at Michael Kors but half the price!

4. A new digital camera, preferbly the Nikon J-1

5. Still debating between the Kindle Fire Tablet vs. the Ipad 2, but leaning more towards the Fire because of price.

This would be my ideal home. Colorful, flea market-style, mixed media, simplicity.

Congratulations to my idol & hero, Taylor Swift, for bringing home the Entertainer of the Year Award from this year’s Country Music Awards!
